Duncan Taylor Port Ellen 1983 40 YO - 52.4%

To capture the zeitgeist of today’s global phenomenon, Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky delved into its impressive and extensive archives to release this first-fill sherry cask 40-year-old single malt, which is a veritable time capsule of Port Ellen’s early 1980s releases. At 104.8 proof (52.4%abv)the liquid was matured in a European Oak ex-sherry butt, with the cask initially stored on Islay, until it was laid down to finish maturing in the vaults at Duncan Taylor’s HQ in Aberdeenshire in 2010.
Each hand-finished decanter is sequentially numbered with a signed certificate of authenticity. Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Ltd last released a Port Ellen back in 2013.

Finlaggan Eilean Mor

A 2015 addition to the Finlaggan range, named Eilean Mor (those of you that know about Islay's geography will be familiar with that name). This expression has been bottled at a slightly higher strength than other Finlaggan release (not including the Cask Strength, of course). The whisky comes from an undisclosed distillery on Islay - it's a closely guarded secret as to which one...

Finlaggan Old Reserve

Finlaggan Red Wine Cask Matured

Many years ago, they filled new make Finlaggan into Rioja Red Wine Hogsheads. Coming from the Rioja region within the Basque country of Spain, these Hogsheads have given the signature heavily peated Finlaggan an extra layer of rich mouth coating red berried fruit flavours. The result is a truly mouthwatering sweet and smoky dram to savour. The extrac-tion from the oak casks has given this whisky a beautifully rich natural coppery rose gold colour.

Finlaggan Sherry Finished

Finlaggan Islay Single Malt has many glorious and award winning expressions.

Fiona Macleod 33 Y Single Malt

The Character of Islay Whisky Company's single malts have a retro feel and an intensely peaty, salty profile. Fiona MacLeod is a single malt made from a blend of carefully selected casks that are at least 33 years old. All the casks come from the same distillery which remains secret, at least until the tasting... The name "Fiona Macleod" pays tribute to the Scottish writer William Sharp who hid his identity under this pseudonym throughout his life.

Glen Breton Rare 10 Y

If it is close to its Scottish cousins in many respects, this version also knows how to stand back in order to better assert its origins. Its particularly original and even surprising aromatic palette is already a pretext for discovery.
