Caol Ila is the Gaelic name for the Sound of Islay, the inlet separating the Isle of Islay from its neighbour, Jura, in one of the wildest parts of Scotland's west coast of Scotland. Its single malt is both balanced and subtle, iodised and peaty, with hints of olive oil, almonds and citrus fruit.
