Savanna Intense Blanc
Savanna Intense draws its identity from Reunion’s Creole soul. The result of three centuries of development, its bold bouquet comes into its own when preparing cocktails and macerated rums. Rums refined from sugar cane are the aromatic essence of molasses, or ‘sugar cane honey’ as it is sometimes known: an uncrystallised mother liquor produced as a quality by product of sugar cane pressing.
Savanna Lontan Blanc - 40%
This white rum is fermented using a traditional method, making it a unique (re)discovery for aficionados. As a Grand Arôme rum, its production requires extended fermentation, and the secret of Lontan is rooted in the very popular artisan rums produced by 18th-century sugar refineries. Only four distilleries in the world have been able to succeed in performing the subtle alchemy to make such a rum. Characterised by spices and ripe fruit, there is a fine expression here of the aromas found in molasses – or ‘sugar cane honey’ as it is known – which are revealed using traditional methods in a very long, mixed fermentation process, which has been skilfully mastered.

In the past, all rums destined for Europe spent many months in oak barrels, so the only rums our ancestors knew were aged rums. The result is a very refined yet well-balanced rum, refreshing and floral, reminiscent of liqueurs of the past.
