Stauning Danish KAOS - Triple Malt Whisky
The Stauning KAOS HARDCORE Triple Malt Whisky is the very first KAOS edition bottled at full strength with an alcohol content of 62.3%.
This "HARDCORE" edition embodies a bold fusion of rye, barley, and smoked barley malts, paying a vibrant tribute to Danish culinary traditions, enhanced by a smoky touch and a complex, lingering finish.
Made exclusively from locally malted grains and distilled in our direct-fire heated copper stills, this whisky captures the essence of Danish craftsmanship.
The KAOS HARDCORE is an intense sensory experience, an unchill-filtered whisky designed for enthusiasts who seek authentic and powerful flavors.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: A seductive bouquet of soft smoke, vanilla, and mild spices. The initial aromas of toasted grains and dark caramel blend with hints of dried fruits and oak, with a subtle iodine note that evokes the Danish shores.
PALATE: Rich and powerful, with a vigorous onset that reveals flavors of roasted malt, honey, and gingerbread. The spicy rye nuances meld with gentle peat, while notes of dark chocolate and candied fruits add depth. The texture is full, almost oily, enveloping the palate with a lasting warmth.
FINISH: Long and complex, marked by reminiscences of toasted oak, subtle smoke, and black pepper. A breath of sweetness lingers, evoking dried fruits and blond tobacco, with a slight bitterness of cocoa at the end.
