

Produced in the Dominican Republic, Matusalem Gran Reserva is a Cuban-style premium. Aged in a solera system, it remained in barrels for about fifteen years. Sweet and spicy at the same time, it is marked by notes of zest of oranges, banana, vanilla and cinnamon. Little sweet compared to many other current rums, it remains light and easy to drink.
TASTING NOTES :
NOSE: Slightly sweet but with a dry entry, caramelized molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, spices and flowers, buttery nuts (macadamia, hazelnuts, etc.) supported by a delicious blend of tobacco, leather, barrel charcoal, and oak.
PALATE: Spicy, paradoxically sweet and dry on the attack, some notes of citrus, dried fruits and flowers, nuts, persimmon, medium to full-bodied. Beautiful notes of oak, pepper, and vanilla mingle with ginger, leather, and tobacco.
FINISH: Medium long with a dry and spicy finish.
