TASTING NOTES
COLOR: Transparent liquid with a bright and shimmering dark amber hue, allowing light to pass through, with no suspended particles.
NOSE: The characteristic aroma of an aged rum matured in oak barrels, with a proper balance between its components. Slightly sweet, it evokes the scent of prunes and raisins, with well-balanced aromas, without an overpowering oak wood or ethyl alcohol scent.
PALATE: Clearly distinguished aging, good evolution, a slightly perceptible sweet taste mixed with a well-integrated wood aroma, featuring notes of vanilla and dry sweet almonds.
FINISH: Medium viscosity sensation on the palate, coating the entire mouth while leaving a slight tingling sensation. Well-balanced with a bittersweet note that is not irritating, providing a warming sensation in the throat, characteristic of its alcohol content.

Cihuatán Alux is a limited edition rum inspired by the Mayan Legend of the Aluxes, guardian gods of the land. At the beginning of every harvest season, the Maya would hold an enchanting feast full of rich treats of chocolate and corn in gratitude to the Aluxes. Now as our gift for these guardian gods, our Master Blender has crafted this rum with notes of Mayan atole, cashew nuts, ginger, cinnamon sticks, roasted corn and chocolate mousse.
