MacNair's Peated Blended Malt 21Y
A blend of some of the finest Islay and Speyside peated malts combined with richer, older GlenAllachie, the Lum Reek 21 years old, voted Worlds Best Blended Malt 2020, was aged in Oloroso, Virgin Oak and Red Wine casks. Non chill filtered, natural colour and bottled at 48% ABV, Billy Walker has recreated the peated whiskies of 100 years ago for the modern-day palate.
TASTING NOTES:
COLOR: Caramel.
NOSE: Aristocratic peat smoke with dark chocolate and caramel.
PALATE: Tobacco, leather, cedarwood, and waves of peat reek with abundant cocoa, vanilla, honey, and spices.

This golden malt obtains its indulgently sweet characteristics from maturation in casks crafted from Sessile Oak, which grows in forests along the Atlantic coast of Scotland. Seldomly used for whisky maturation, Scottish Oak is not only rare and costly but is incredibly challenging to work with at all stages of production; growing, milling and coopering.
