Etsu DoubleYuzu Japanese Gin

For their Merlet VSOP Cognac, Gilles and his sons selected and blended eaux-de-vie from different regions of the cognac appellation, to ensure consistent quality. The eaux-de-vie were aged for at least four years. Most of the Cognacs selected for this blend are from Fins Bois ‘crus’, famed for their fruitiness and their capacity to mature fast when barrel-aged.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: The aroma is powerful and intense, featuring notes of menthol and dark chocolate.

PALATE: It begins dry and woody, then shifts to juicier, fruitier flavors. Licorice and peach stand out.

FINISH : The finish is persistent, highlighted by vegetal tones like chlorophyll and a hint of rancio.

Twelve distinct local herbs combined with four classic gin ingredients result in a drink that is a Vietnamese version of the classic dry gin. The unique combination of local botanicals gives Saigon Baigur a fresh, vibrant taste, inspired by the city where it is distilled.
