

This is a 15-year-old single malt distilled by Laphroaig on the Isle of Islay and bottled for The Stories of Wind & Wave series by The Character of Islay Whisky Company! This series highlights the delights that can be found in the Inner Hebrides, and this one is an excellent example. It was aged in a single bourbon cask for 15 years and bottled in very elegant bottles.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: Waxy peels, peppermint leaves, and smoky black tea with a hint of terracotta.
PALATE: Gentle smoke with savory notes of salted butter and cedar underneath, plus stone fruits that develop later.
FINISH: Polished oak, a touch of ash, and continuing fruity elements.
