An authentic rum, with very little added sugar (15g) and no colorants. This is a rum from the Dominican Republic (approximately 80%) and Venezuela (approximately 20%), slowly infused with black pepper, ginger, licorice, vanilla, nutmeg, etc., for 2 weeks.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: Balanced between a sweet and indulgent side with nutmeg, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon, and a powerful and spicy side with prominent ginger, pepper, and a hint of citrus. It is intoxicating and shows a strong character.
PALATE: The word "Spiced" takes on its full meaning with a soft and balanced attack, driven by citrus, spices like ras el hanout, cloves, followed by an intensifying warmth with a woody and comforting profile featuring licorice, tonka bean, vanilla, and a hint of vegetal aromas (thyme, coriander, etc.).
FINISH: Immersed in a delightful sweet and savory universe, like floating on Aladdin's magic carpet.

This fresh, rose-petal gin was first made to honour Glendalough's Head Distiller Ciaran “Rowdy” Rooney's mother Rose, at his little brother's wedding. Carefully-tended flowers from her rose garden are vapor distilled with wild roses and plants from the mountains around the distillery to make this an intensely floral gin. After distilling, the gin is then further infused with even more roses to deepen the flavours and give it its lovely pink hue.
