McCallum Caol Ila 11 YO
Peated single malt from the island of Islay. Caol Ila is the Gaelic name for the Sound of Islay, the inlet separating the Isle of Islay from its neighbour, Jura, in one of the wildest parts of Scotland's west coast of Scotland. Its single malt is both balanced and subtle, iodised and peaty, with hints of olive oil, almonds and citrus fruit.
Degustation Notes
Nose
Peaty, iodised and smoky, notes of sweet almond notes of sweet almond, sour candy ash and liquorice.
Palate
Oily and slightly medicinal, becomes increasingly smoky and fruity. fruity.
Finish
Floral and herbaceous.
