GlenAllachie 2009 Single Cask 5015

The Tomatin 14 Year Old is soft, smooth and sweet, benefiting from its time spent in Tawny Port casks which previously held port for around 50 years. Rich but balanced aromas of red berries, sweet honey and rich toffee develop into aspects of light fruits and nuts on the palate and an abiding finish of smooth fruit salad.

To craft The GlenAllachie Wine Cask Series, Master Blender Billy Walker first expertly matured our spirit in the finest American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, before transferring the whisky into hand-selected European wine barriques for secondary aging. Billy added a distinctive twist to this release by ultimately blending four exceptional wine cask finishes into one unique expression: The Cuvée Wine Cask Finish. The next release of GlenAllachie's Cuvée, bottled in 2023, is a harmonious marriage of whisky matured in barriques which previously held premium red wine. Billy Walker specially selected this limited release, matured in Speyside, and bottled at 58.1%, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors from PX and Oloroso casks, Virgin Oak barrels, and Rioja wine barriques, it is non-chill filtered and has no added coloring.
