GlenAllachie 10Y Cask Strenght Batch 11 - 59.4%
The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 11 is a vibrant and bold expression from the GlenAllachie distillery, located in the heart of Speyside.
Crafted under the expert guidance of Billy Walker, this multi-award-winning single malt stands out due to its meticulous maturation in a unique combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, red wine, and new oak casks.
The result is a whisky of intense character, bottled at its natural strength to offer an authentic and memorable tasting experience.
Sporting a deep chestnut color, this whisky will captivate both enthusiasts and professionals with its aromatic richness and gustatory complexity.
TASTING NOTES :
NOSE: Upon opening, this whisky reveals an expressive and captivating nose. The initial scents evoke young and resinous oak bark, quickly followed by delicate floral notes reminiscent of a spring flower field. The aromas then become more complex with hints of cherries in syrup and a touch of intense dark chocolate.
PALATE: On the palate, GlenAllachie 10 years Batch 11 offers a rich and balanced sensory experience. A soft sweetness of sugar syrup and honey harmonizes with a slight spice of young oak and cocoa beans. The flavors of candied cherries, burnt plum jam, and raisins enrich this palette, supported by persistent notes of dark chocolate.
FINISH: The finish is long, warm, and deeply comforting. It leaves a lingering impression of dark chocolate and cocoa beans, softened by a fruity sweetness of dried cherries and liqueur. A subtle woody note, reminiscent of a freshly planed oak board, completes this memorable tasting experience.
