New permanent edition Cotswolds Reserve Single Malt is produced in small batches from Cotswolds grown barley of the Odyssey variety. This expression showcases the influence of ex first fill Bourbon casks which offer classic notes of vanilla, honey, caramel with a hint of coconut.
Our smooth and elegant Cotswolds Reserve Single Malt is handcrafted in small batches using 100% locally grown and ground malted Cotswold barley. This expression shows the influence of our first ex-bourbon cask fill, delivering classic notes of vanilla, honey, butterscotch and a touch of coconut, resulting in a truly smooth and delicious finish. A touch of whiskey from our wonderful old STR red wine casks was blended in to enhance the richness, fruitiness and sweetness of this remarkable whiskey. Once the whiskey is fully matured, we empty the casks before blending and bottling them by hand here at the distillery at a ratio of 80:20 - 80% Bourbon and 20% STR.
