Penderyn Patagonia is a unique blended malt whisky, the result of a union between the single malt of the renowned Welsh distillery Penderyn and that of La Alazana in Patagonia, a region steeped in Welsh culture since the Welsh colonization of 1865. This marriage pays tribute to the history of the 153 Welsh pioneers who left their homeland to settle in South America while preserving their language and traditions. This bottling, number 11 in the "Icons of Wales" series, captures the soul of two regions: the fruity orchards of Wales and the vast wild landscapes of Patagonia.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Upon opening, soft and floral aromas emerge, evoking the scent of a summer orchard. Notes of apples and pears harmoniously blend with a touch of vanilla, honey, and caramel.
PALATE: The attack is soft and well-balanced, with a smooth texture that envelops the palate. Honey, the tartness of apple pie, and the juiciness of pears are found here, while vanilla and subtle woody notes add complexity. A mix of spices – cinnamon, pepper, and a hint of clove – provides additional depth, enhanced by touches of almonds and caramel.
FINISH: The finish is long and persistent, marked by notes of dried fruits and a gentle caress of spices. The aromas of fruits and spices continue to unfold with finesse, leaving a lasting and complex impression on the tasting.

Our malt is crafted slowly and is matured at the distillery in traditional dunnage warehouses on earthen floors. We're proud of our heritage and have used traditional methods since we rolled our first barrels back in 1790. And yet we're not afraid to tinker with tradition if it serves to improve our product. Our single malt is the perfect mix of nature and nurture and we believe in quality above all else.
