HSE offers a unique experience through a variation of the three grape varieties used to produce the great wines of Château Marquis de Terme. We selected specific casks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot used for the production of Château Marquis de Terme, and carried out three different finishes for over 12 months. Thanks to this distinctive ageing, these three expressions allow you to appreciate the impact of these specific casks on the profile of our extra old rums.
CABERNET SAUVIGNON CASK FINISH The rich, velvety attack unfolds with notes of quince jam, kirsch and candied ginger. With aeration, fine nuances of integrated tannins, sandalwood and cigar box emerge, extending into a very long finish.
MERLOT CASK FINISH The initial nose is marked by aromas of blackberries, morello cherries and blueberry jelly. It gradually gives way to pastry notes of gingerbread, dried-fruit frangipane and salted butter caramel.
PETIT VERDOT CASK FINISH On opening, delicate floral and herbaceous notes settle into an enchanting harmony: violet, dried flowers, rosewood and incense. They slowly evolve towards aromas of Bourbon vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa and liquorice stick.
