Matusalem Sublime Aged Rum embodies the history and tradition of the Alvarez family, illustrating their migration from Cuba to the Dominican Republic during the Castro revolution. This exceptional cuvée is the result of a meticulous selection of the family's oldest casks, creating a unique blend of rum. Limited to only 450 decanters, each piece is meticulously crafted by the centennial glassmaker Vista Alegre and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the founding family of Ron Matusalem.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: This rum showcases a bright amber color, speckled with old gold and mahogany reflections, reflecting its aging in bourbon and sherry oak casks.
Nose: The nose reveals a complex and harmonious bouquet of oak wood, dried fruits, vanilla, blackcurrant, tobacco, and cocoa aromas. These notes are subtly enhanced by hints of soft spices, orange, praline, coffee, and caramel.
Palate: On the palate, this rum is smooth and rich, offering a symphony of woody and fruity flavors. The aromas of tobacco, vanilla, caramel, and cocoa blend perfectly, creating a round and balanced tasting experience.
Finish: The finish is long and deliciously smoky, marked by persistent notes of dried fruits and tobacco, leaving a memorable imprint on the palate.
