- New
From one volcanic island to another: Volcanic Cane brings together Haitian terroir and the legendary peat of Islay. After a long aging in cognac casks and then in bourbon casks, the rum completes its journey in peated Islay whisky casks. The smoky notes enrich, without ever overpowering, the characteristic freshness of Barbancourt.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE Complex and expressive. Dried fruits (fig, date, prune), vanilla, bitter cocoa, and fine spices. The peat reveals itself with finesse and subtlety, smoky and iodized, in counterpoint to the sweet notes.
PALATE Full and velvety. Candied fruits, dark chocolate, pepper, toasted oak. The peated touch rises gradually, carried by a fine mineral tension that structures the whole.
FINISH Very long and lingering, with indulgent accents. The peat fades gently into spices, mineral freshness, and refined wood.
