Rhum Bologne XO
The Bologne XO Rum is a true tribute to Guadeloupean expertise, the quintessence of the art of aging and selecting the finest sugar canes. Crafted with passion at the heart of the Bologne distillery, established in 1887 between sea and mountains, this aged rum is the pure expression of a unique volcanic terroir and meticulous production techniques. Aged between 6 and 10 years in oak barrels, this nectar reveals a rich and refined aromatic palette, elevated by the masterful work of the Cellar Master. Bologne XO.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: The first nose reveals notes of candied orange and honey, soft and enticing. With aeration, it evolves towards aromas of juicy citrus like blood orange, fresh sugarcane, cinnamon, and cocoa, wrapped in a subtle and precious woody touch.
PALATE: The entry on the palate is carried by a deep and luminous mahogany robe. The texture is silky, and the aromatic palette remarkably rich: the flavors oscillate between shrubb, candied exotic fruits, vanilla, dried fruits, and delicate spices such as saffron and ginger. A subtle iodine touch enhances the balance and finesse of the whole, while perfectly integrated tannins and a melted woodiness bring unparalleled depth, typical of "Rancio noble."
FINISH: The finish is long, soft, and creamy, with reminiscences of rum-raisin ice cream, notes of licorice stick, and a hint of animal and leathery tones.
