Rhum Bologne Les ExCLusifs 2014 - 59.54%
The year 2014 marks the beginning of the saga of black cane, which the Bologne rum cellar masters have patiently nurtured. It is this selection with its singular character that marks the intimate link between Maison Bologne and the history of black cane. Blended from 3 barrels aged on 25/05/2014 using rums from the 2014 distillation campaign, the start of Maison Bologne's 100% canne noire saga.
TASTING NOTES:
COLOR: Bright with an amber hue and copper highlights. The legs are slow and opulent.
NOSE: The nose is immediately empyreumatic with Turkish coffee and hints of fresh leather. The acidity of passion fruit and blood orange blends wonderfully with notes of slightly cooked cane sugar.
PALATE: This cuvée has a strong character, very pastry-like with notes of cocoa, walnut husk, and candied pineapple, all melded into a complex rancio.
FINISH: Highly indulgent thanks to the sweetness of salted butter caramel fused with flavors of licorice, tarte Tatin, and honey.
