This unique Danish single malt combines the innovation of the Stauning distillery with Portuguese winemaking tradition.
Made from 100% Danish floor-malted barley, this whisky is distilled twice in direct-fire copper stills and aged in first-fill Tawny Port casks.
The result is a smoky and refined expression, where the powerful aromas of heather and peat smoke blend harmoniously with fruity sweetness and subtle spices, offering a distinctive tasting experience.

TASTING NOTES :

NOSE: A gentle wood fire smoke emerges first, reminiscent of an outdoor brazier. There are notes of wild thyme, heather honey, and a subtle hint of dried fruits, evoking the warmth of Tawny Port.

PALATE: The entry on the palate is soft and creamy, with flavors of salted butter caramel, citrus peel, and delicate smoke. The spices intensify gradually, bringing a touch of white pepper and nutmeg that balances the fruity richness of the Port.

FINISH: Long and persistent, it reveals notes of ripe plum, salted butter caramel, and a slight bitterness of toasted oak, leaving a comforting and elegant memory.
