Penderyn Legend constitutes the ideal introduction to the first Welsh whisky distillery. Fully matured in bourbon casks, this single malt spent a few additional months in Madeira casks, giving it sweet and fruity notes. The red dragon, featured in many folk tales, also appears on the national flag of Wales. Nestled near the Brecon Beacons National Park, Penderyn's single malts derive their gentle and subtle character from the combination of a unique distillation technique using bespoke Faraday stills and a distinctive maturation art, the result of Dr. Jim Swan’s expertise and carried on since 2018 by master distiller Aista Phillips.

To blend this special batch, Francis Abécassis and Frédéric David the Cellar Master, have selected eaux-de-vie renowned for their rich aromas, aged in the estate’s oldest casks. Each sip of this precious cognac reveals harmonious and powerful flavours, symbolised by the strength of the dragon.

It is produced by the Distillerie Merlet & Fils with AMÉRISSE, who wanted to sublimate this fruit by combining it with several bitter plants such as gentian, angelica, mugwort and rhubarb to reinforce its natural astringency, and then with other berries and citrus fruits that increase its fruity flavours and complexity tenfold.

Many years ago, they filled new make Finlaggan into Rioja Red Wine Hogsheads. Coming from the Rioja region within the Basque country of Spain, these Hogsheads have given the signature heavily peated Finlaggan an extra layer of rich mouth coating red berried fruit flavours. The result is a truly mouthwatering sweet and smoky dram to savour. The extrac-tion from the oak casks has given this whisky a beautifully rich natural coppery rose gold colour.

Tomatin 12 Y is smooth and silky, after having been aged in traditional Scotch Whisky, ex-Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso casks. A rich and fruity aroma is the prelude to the sweet flavors of ripe apples, pears and a subtle hint of nuts. Pleasantly oily finish.

TASTING NOTES : NOSE: The Botran Reserva 15 years offers a complex and expressive nose. The first whiffs reveal notes of toasted wood and vanilla, followed by aromas of ripe fruits and orange peel. Hints of nuts, spices, and caramel enrich this olfactory bouquet. PALATE: On the palate, this rum is distinguished by a seductive and dry attack. It reveals explosive flavors of ripe fruits and orange, harmoniously balanced by woody and spicy notes. The texture is ample and enveloping, offering a rich and complex tasting experience. FINISH: The finish is marked by persistent woody and spicy notes, leaving a lasting and pleasant impression.

TASTING NOTES: COLOR: Yellow hue between lemon and gold. NOSE: Complex, saffron notes, then spices and grey pepper, with hints of citrus. PALATE: Creamy, floral, with notes of honey. Long and harmonious finish on pepper and licorice. A refinement of sweetness and smoothness.
