The Saint-Etienne Vieux VO 2012 rum is a refined expression of the craftsmanship of the Habitation Saint-Etienne distillery, located in the heart of Martinique.
Aged for over 3 years in oak barrels under the AOC Martinique designation, this aged rum develops complex and enticing aromas, the result of an exceptional terroir and ancestral know-how.

TASTING NOTES :

NOSE: Upon opening, this rum reveals a rich and spicy nose dominated by notes of black pepper and roasted coffee beans. A subtle smoky hint accompanies this first impression, followed by softer aromas of vanilla and macerated cherry. An intriguing aromatic complexity that promises a tasting full of surprises.

PALATE: The palate is smooth and round, with an explosion of brandied cherries and stewed fruits, supported by elegant notes of vanilla and brown sugar. A slightly woody dimension develops mid-palate, enhancing the sense of depth and sophistication. The overall experience is harmonious and perfectly balanced, with aromatic richness that reflects its oak barrel aging.

FINISH: The finish is long, warm, and lingering. It expresses aromas reminiscent of bourbon, with subtle touches of toasted wood, vanilla, and cherry. The sweetness at the end is beautifully counterbalanced by a slight astringency, delivering an elegant and distinguished concluding note.
