Cihuatán Alux is a limited edition rum inspired by the Mayan Legend of the Aluxes, guardian gods of the land. According to Mayan lore, these gods lived in maize and cacao fields, as these were regarder as the most sacred gifts of the earth. At the beginning of every harvest season, the Maya would hold an enchanting feast full of rich treats of chocolate and corn in gratitude to the Aluxes. Now as our gift for these guardian gods, our Master Blender has crafted this rum with notes of Mayan atole, cashew nuts, ginger, cinnamon sticks, roasted corn and chocolate mousse.

THE BOTRAN RESERVA 15 YEARS is an exceptional Guatemalan rum, carefully aged to offer an unforgettable tasting experience.
Blended from rums aged between 5 and 14 years using the solera method, this rum benefits from maturation in four different types of casks: charred and uncharred American oak, sherry casks, and port casks.
The result is a dry and complex rum, marked by an aromatic richness that will appeal to lovers of refined spirits.
Presented in an elegant case, the Botran Reserva 15 Years is an invitation to discover and vary the pleasures for Diplomatico enthusiasts in search of new sensations.

The rum is aged using the solera process for aging spirits, in which barrels containing older spirits are “topped off” and married with younger spirit from other barrels as the angel’s share takes its toll. Afterwards the rums blended are aged again in Single Malt Scotch Whisky oak barrels for at least 6 months. By the time, the rum is bottled.

To make this extraordinary gin, Glendalough forage wild botanicals in the Wicklow mountains all year round. Geraldine Kavanagh, our full time forager, brings the wild, fresh botanicals to the distillery within hours of foraging where small-batch slow-distillation is used to tease out the delicate botanical flavours. Glendalough Wild Botanical Irish Gin serves the taste of 'a year in every bottle' and perfectly captures a place in time, with four seasons of foraging in wild Wicklow encapsulated in each bottle.

Brewed, fermented, distilled, matured and bottled on site:

This precious Guatemalan nectar first matured in American bourbon barrels, then was refined in French wine casks, giving it a rich and complex aromatic palette.

A very long aging in American white oak barrels gives this exceptional rum a Creole flavor and a spicy aromatic palette.
