The Chateau Pichon Baron limited release is matured in bourbon barrels for a minimum of 12 years, then further aged in casks from the renowned Bordeaux winery. Founded in 1805 in the village of Hari, Shiga Prefecture, the distillery has possessed recognized expertise in premium sakes for over 200 years. The association of sake, fresh Japanese yuzu juice, and sea salt creates a remarkable beverage with sweet and tangy notes. The Marquess Collection, launched in 2016, is a nod to famous historical figures who bore the Marquess of Tullibardine title in Scotland for centuries, and the rich history of the Tullibardine region. The Murray name derives from the 2nd Marquess of Tullibardine, Sir William Murray, who fought for the Jacobites at the Battle of Sheriffmuir on the Ochil hills above the Tullibardine distillery.
