The Finlaggan Sherry Finished is an iconic peated single malt, distilled on the legendary island of Islay. Maguey mexicano (Agave rhodacantha) is also known as “dobadaan” in some regions, which is its local name in Zapotec. Though exact numbers are unknown, some speculate that there are seven or more sub-varieties of Maguey Mexicano that each produce different characteristics in mezcal. Some of those include Maguey mexicano penca larga, mexicano penca corta, mexicano liso, chontal, and amarillo grande. Many of these sub-varietals are very different looking plants.

Génépi liqueur 1821 is one of Dolin’s flagship products. This famous plant, emblematic of the Alps, grows above 1800 meters in altitude, among rocks and snowfields. Based on an original recipe written 200 years ago, our liqueur combines floral and herbal flavors with the elegant character of a premium spirit. The sprig of génépi slipped into the bottle slowly infuses the golden-green liquid, releasing its aromas—an herbalist’s secret that enhances its character and makes it an exceptional mountain spirit.

Aromas of mulled wine and dark chocolate lead, while on the palate there are notes of spiced mead with cranberry and an underlying fresh citrus in the form of grapefruit. Light tannin and sugared almonds linger on the finish.
