The Matsui The Peated

The HSE VSOP Port Cask Finish is an exceptional agricultural rum produced at Habitation Saint-Étienne, in Martinique, adhering to the traditions of the AOC Martinique.
This very old rum stands out due to meticulous aging and a unique finish, making it a true gem for lovers of characterful spirits.
After an initial maturation of over 3 years in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, it receives an 8-month finish in 225-liter Tawny port barrels.
This double maturation enriches the rum with complex fruity and woody notes, perfectly balanced by the typical softness and roundness of Port.

Penderyn Legend constitutes the ideal introduction to the first Welsh whisky distillery. Fully matured in bourbon casks, this single malt spent a few additional months in Madeira casks, giving it sweet and fruity notes. The red dragon, featured in many folk tales, also appears on the national flag of Wales. Nestled near the Brecon Beacons National Park, Penderyn's single malts derive their gentle and subtle character from the combination of a unique distillation technique using bespoke Faraday stills and a distinctive maturation art, the result of Dr. Jim Swan’s expertise and carried on since 2018 by master distiller Aista Phillips.

Old Pulteney Port finish is the second expression in The Coastal Series. Matured in both Ruby Port Pipes and Ruby Port Barriques, which once held an iconic sweet, red, fortified wine native to the Douro Valley of northern Portugal. The sweet flavours of the wine pair perfectly with the briny notes The Maritime Malt is known for.

The Tullibardine Sovereign is a Scottish single malt crafted in the Highlands region, renowned for its expertise and the purity of its water. Aged in first-fill bourbon casks, this whisky reveals an aromatic richness combining sweetness and complexity. With Penultimus, Foursquare closes the Exceptional Cask Selection series, faithful to the precision and transparency that have made the distillery's reputation. This rum is crafted from a blend of distillates from pot and column stills, aged in Barbados, without additives, colorants, or chill filtration. For this edition, Richard Seale combined bourbon and Moscatel casks. The influence of the Moscatel brings an aromatic depth without making the rum too sweet or too heavy. The whole remains balanced and highlights the rum itself, rather than an excessive influence of the cask.

The Longueteau 125-year cuvée before cask aging is composed of 50° agricultural white rum, a blend of 65% red cane and 35% blue cane, with 8 months of resting in stainless steel tanks. This distillate is then transferred to 300-liter cognac casks. These casks were filled in three different years: 2008, 2009, and finally 2010.
