The HSE VSOP Port Cask Finish is an exceptional agricultural rum produced at Habitation Saint-Étienne, in Martinique, adhering to the traditions of the AOC Martinique.
This very old rum stands out due to meticulous aging and a unique finish, making it a true gem for lovers of characterful spirits.
After an initial maturation of over 3 years in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, it receives an 8-month finish in 225-liter Tawny port barrels.
This double maturation enriches the rum with complex fruity and woody notes, perfectly balanced by the typical softness and roundness of Port.

Sauternes is made from grapes which have undergone ‘noble rot’, causing their moisture to evaporate, hence concentrating the sugars. The sauternes cask brings sweetness and complexity to the mature spirit. Expect fruits like apricots or peaches, you may also find honey or nuts.|TASTING NOTES|• NoseFragrant honeyand summer fruits. A distillery that is used as a Northern Highland base for many a blend due to it's rich and complex flavour profile. In 1933 the distillery is sold to DCL, and increases in 1970 from 4 to 6 pot stills. In 2014 a new distillery is built with 6 new Pot Stills.
