TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: A burst of enveloping peat smoke, accompanied by ashy nuances and the typical maritime freshness of Islay. Subtle hints of nuts and leather emerge in the background, adding a rustic and complex dimension.
PALATE: From the first sip, a strong peaty intensity manifests, blending notes of ashy smoke, ripe apples, and licorice. The texture is rich, slightly oily, with a balance between the freshness of wild herbs and the depth of woody spices.
FINISH: Long and persistent, the finish is dominated by thick and robust smoke, with saline maritime echoes and a slight herbal bitterness that slowly unfolds on the palate.

The Longueteau 3-year-old agricultural aged rum is the result of aging our rums for 3 years in oak barrels that previously contained cognac.
100% black cane, a variety exclusive to the Bologne distillery. This old variety, now forgotten by distillers because of its low yield, is favoured by Bologne for its exceptional aromatic potential. It expresses a "concentrate" of cane. Matured for 12 months in stainless steel vats.
Japanese single malt whisky matured in a single Sakura cask, known for its quality. Combined with a malt aroma and the bitter taste of an unblended whisky, delicately soft and crisp notes of cherry also come through across the palate. The whisky is matured in Tottori prefecture, in a natural environment where the temperature changes considerably from one season to the next. The whisky is subtly finished with high-quality natural spring water from Mount Daisen.
This Pineau des Charentes is best enjoyed chilled as an aperitif, between 9 and 10 degrees, in a tulip glass to enhance its colour and bouquet. It goes very well with foie gras, cheeses, and chocolate desserts.
