Glendalough Distillery is proud to play its part in bringing back the use of Irish oak for whiskey cask-making. This most quintessentially Irish style of whiskey, pot still, is first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then in Irish Oak felled in the mountains around the distillery.

Palo Cortado is the rarest style of Sherry that combines the dryness of Fino with the nutty and darker fruit characteristics of Oloroso. It develops when the ‘flor’ yeast layer naturally dies on a wine that was initially intended to become a Fino. Using puncheons and hogshead casks that previously held this exceptional Sherry, the spirit develops a beautifully layered character, with notes of ripe plums, dark mocha and warming cinnamon spice. An inspired recreation of an original bottling of Hankey Bannister Scotch Whisky, made between 1924 and 1928 and re-discovered, perfectly preserved. Originally created in 1924, the Master Blender has reinvigorated this vintage for today’s discerning palettes. This delicious recreation has notes of honey, butterscotch and a hint of smoke.

The Kurayoshi Pure Malt is aged for over 3 years in oak casks. It has a soft and refreshing fragrance of malted barley complimented by sweet and tart notes of rum raisins, malt and vanilla. The light finish is a reminder of Tottori’s pure spring water used during distillation.

The rich aromas and deep flavors displayed by the Kurayoshi Malt Whisky 8 Year Old reflects the maturation in carefully selected oak casks.

Aged in sherry casks for over 3 years. The nose expresses notes of ripe fruits and chocolate. The palate mirrors the nose with additional notes of citrus and lemongrass. Sweetness and acidity are elegantly balanced. The light finish evokes the pure spring water of Tottori used during distillation.

A Single Malt from Speyside with an Sauternes cask finish. All the elegance and refinement that one would expect from a Speyside Whisky. This is so well illustrated by the beautiful painting of my second cousin, the famous Scottish Artist, Archibald Dunbar McIntosh, who reveals in his painting all the warmth of the Scottish landscape and unique changing contours.
