In 1773, three McAfee brothers named James, George, and Robert left Virginia westward to explore the uncharted territory that would later become known as Kentucky. Initially traveling by canoe, the McAfee party eventually followed a native trail overland that led to the great buffalo crossing, where the brothers surveyed the land that now houses the world’s most awarded distillery – the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The survey marks they left behind are known as benchmarks, and this bourbon whiskey honors the pioneering spirits of these early American explorers.

The fior di latte and fresh cream from the Trentino valleys combine to create an inviting and pleasant mountain cream, distinguished by its soft and well balanced taste. The Alpine cream liqueurs by Marzadro represent a typical expression of the local area. A welcome return to Suffolk’s brewery/distillery for our second batch of Adnams single malt whisky. This release has spent it’s time maturing a second fill French Oak cask, followed by an Islay Cask finish, so while not a smoky malt in itself, the ex-Islay cask brings a smoky dimension to this English malt. Adnams is a long established brewery with a colourful history of over a century in the making. Their Copper House distillery was opened in 2010 and was the first brewery to be legally distilling spirits in the UK. Their first whisky was bottled in December 2013

The newest release from Glendalough Distillery, our Single Grain Double Barrel Cask Strength Irish Whiskey. This liquid begins its maturation process in flame charred ex Bourbon American oak casks. It is finished in premium first fill Oloroso casks from Montilla, a small town found in the rolling hills of the Spanish countryside. We choose the bodega, the liquid, the casks and the cooper in this region of Spain to deliver a terroir driven sense of this land. It is encapsulated in the liquid when we put our Irish whiskey in these slow toasted Spanish casks for aging.
