Inspired by the Old Pulteney 1989, Huddart is matured in American oak exbourbon barrels, before being finished in ex-peated malt casks.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE Rich and warming. Brimming with mellow wood smoke, honey and oily leather at first, to later bloom with crisp green apple top notes.
PALATE Freshly-ground spices and soft vanilla balance the central notes of wood smoke and peat fire.
FINISH There are both richly sweet and distinctly coastal chords in the background, together reminiscent of salted caramel.

Compagnie des Indes Latino comes from a blend of rums essentially of "Spanish" type (60% comes from Guatemala) but not only, since a part of the rum which composes it comes from Guyana (English influence).The Spanish type brings the greediness while the English influence brings a touch of freshness. 5 years of aging in new barrels (bourbon) have allowed this rum to acquire its roundness and a rich palette of aromas.
