Rum & Cane Spanish Carribean XO is a blend of two traditional Spanish molasses rums, one produced in Cuba and the other in the Dominican Republic. This rum has been aged for at least 6 years in American oak barrels that previously contained bourbon.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: The initial nose reveals exquisite notes of tropical fruits and caramel, followed by subtle hints of vanilla and orange. In the background, rich aromas of black molasses complete this luxurious olfactory palette.
PALATE: The attack is smooth and enveloping, gradually revealing intense flavors of grape, licorice, and tropical fruits. A rise in spices, such as cinnamon, is felt, bringing additional complexity. Citrus fruits, like kumquat, add a touch of freshness and a slight bitterness that perfectly balances the sweet flavors.
FINISH: The finish is long and persistent, leaving memories of gunpowder, olive, and alcohol. The final notes are rich and complex, with accents of butter, coffee, and molasses, marking a harmonious and memorable end.
