Dualidad is the new single barrel by Cihuatan Rum. This single cask has been made specially for Premium Spirits. It is a 17 year old, finished in Mayan Ceiba.
The name “Dualidad” or “duality” in Spanish was inspired by the nuances in flavor profiles of Salvadoran rum, which can be achieved when Cihuatán’s heavy rums meet different styles of barrels, such as virgin oak, Mayan Ceiba, ex-bourbon, ex-cognac, ex-oloroso and ex-rivesaltes.

At the heart of every bottle of Cihuatán Xaman lies the Sleeping Woman, a Mayan goddess and guardian of the Cihuatán valley. Legend has it that, under the veil of the night, the Sleeping Woman would search for the brightest star in the sky. It was Xaman, the god of the North Star.
