Canero Sherry Cream Cask Finish

A smoky, peated, ex-bourbon cask, single malt from mainland Australia’s oldest whisky distillery. Founded in 1999, Bakery Hill Distillery is run by ex-High School chemistry teacher David and his son Andrew. Family run, small batch, with a focus on quality over quantity. It was established to prove a point - that great single malt whiskies could be made outside of Scotland, and specifically in Australia. Bakery Hill buck the trend of many wine-cask driven Australian whiskies, favouring predominantly ex-bourbon barrels.
These allow for a longer maturation, without the spirit becoming overwhelmed by the hot temperatures and cask influence.

The sugar cane is chopped and crushed for the cane juice. Sèrum Wet Vintage is distilled from freshly concentrated cane juice to produce a fine aroma of sugar cane and fruits.

Ron Coloma 8 Years Old is produced at Hacienda Coloma, a three-generation family coffee plantation located in the heart of Colombia. After 8 years of aging in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, Ron Coloma benefits from a 2 to 3 month finish in oak barrels that previously held Coloma coffee liqueur. This unique aging method gives Ron Coloma its soft and unique personality, a true expression of its distinctive Colombian roots.

The Finlaggan Sherry Finished is an iconic peated single malt, distilled on the legendary island of Islay. This whisky stands out for its double maturation: first aged in traditional casks, it gains additional depth through a sherry cask finish. This subtle marriage between the strength of peat and the sweetness of sherry offers a unique tasting experience, rich in contrasts and complexity. With its 46% alcohol content, this whisky is non-chill filtered, preserving the full intensity of its aromas and flavors. This single malt is produced in small batches, making each bottle a prized rarity for discerning enthusiasts.

TASTING NOTES

Marzipan and spicy aroma with hints of honey, orange zest and oak. The palate is round, mellow and full-bodied with a robust flavour of fruits and spices. The finish is delightful, elegant and dry.

Old rum aged in American and French oak barrels for 3 to 6 years.
To be enjoyed neat, with or without ice, in a "ti-punch vieux" or as a long drink.
