Coloma 15 Years is a rum that embodies Colombian craftsmanship through a unique aging process. Distilled from sugarcane molasses, this rum ages for 15 years in American oak barrels before undergoing a finishing period of 3 to 5 months in casks that previously held Coloma coffee liqueur. This process imparts a rich aromatic profile, enhancing indulgent notes of chocolate, spices, and coffee. Its name, "Cinabrio," is inspired by cinnabar, a red mineral used by the Mayans to honor their sun god, Kinich Ahau.
This rum has aged for at least 12 years in the cellars of Licorera Cihuatan, in American oak barrels that previously contained bourbon.
