This fresh, rose-petal gin was first made to honour Glendalough's Head Distiller Ciaran “Rowdy” Rooney's mother Rose, at his little brother's wedding. Carefully-tended flowers from her rose garden are vapor distilled with wild roses and plants from the mountains around the distillery to make this an intensely floral gin. After distilling, the gin is then further infused with even more roses to deepen the flavours and give it its lovely pink hue.
Etsu Double Orange has been macerated for seven days using traditional botanicals such as orange zest, juniper berries, licorice root, angelica and coriander. After maceration, only the gin is distilled without the botanicals, allowing the oils to infuse.
