TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: The nose of this HSE XO rum is remarkably rich. From the first whiffs, it unveils a symphony of complex aromas, with prominent notes of cocoa and mocha, evolving into more subtle touches of blond tobacco. These warm aromas are wrapped in an elegant spicy presence, dominated by black pepper and nutmeg.
PALATE: On the palate, the promise of the nose is confirmed with brilliance. The cocoa and mocha aromas reveal themselves with even more intensity, while offering a velvety and fleshy texture. The finely balanced blond tobacco brings an extra layer of depth, while the spices structure the whole without ever being overpowering. The balance is perfect, oscillating between sweetness and character, offering a memorable sensory experience.

Monymusk is the legendary Jamaican distillery that is part of the island's heritage! It has made a name for itself by producing high-proof "heavy rums." Located in the south of Jamaica, Monymusk is one of the island’s oldest estates. Although it has been producing rum since the early 20th century, it was only a few years ago that it decided to market it under its own name, Monymusk.
This 9-year-old rum is a true homage to Jamaican expertise and the unique craftsmanship of the French brand Compagnie des Indes. From a secret distillery, it was carefully selected by Florent Beuchet, the brand’s founder. Distilled in a pot still in July 2013 from molasses, this rum first aged 20% of its time under the tropical climate of Jamaica before being transferred to Europe to continue its maturation in ex-bourbon casks. Its meticulous aging process resulted in a rum rich in esters, well-balanced, and bursting with character. Produced in a limited edition, only a single cask was bottled, yielding 379 numbered bottles. Bottled without chill filtration in March 2023.
