La Fée XS Suisse is an Extra Supérieure absinthe from the historical birthplace of absinthe: Couvet, in the Val-de-Travers valley in Switzerland. Crafted using ancestral methods, this artisanal absinthe highlights unmatched expertise and a deep respect for the traditions of the 19th century. Distilled from wine alcohol and a meticulous selection of aromatic herbs, including locally grown grande absinthe (Artemisia absinthium), La Fée XS Suisse represents the very essence of “La Bleue” absinthe. This spirit reflects both its terroir and a traditional distillation process, handcrafted in small copper stills. Its silky texture and subtle flavors of anise and herbs make for a highly refined sensory experience.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE: From the opening, an intense bouquet of aromatic herbs emerges, accompanied by slight aniseed notes. The nose is delicately herbal, with a floral touch evoking the surrounding Swiss mountains.
PALATE: On the palate, the texture is of great elegance and offers remarkable balance. The flavors of anise and plants blend harmoniously, while the natural sweetness of the wine alcohol tempers the bitter character of the absinthe. The ensemble reveals nuances of fennel, hyssop, and lemon balm, with a hint of bitterness in the background.
