Produced in the heart of the Tottori region, in western Japan, the San-In Blended Whisky is a creation of the Kurayoshi distillery. Its soft and smooth character is explained by the use of pure spring water from Mount Daisen, renowned for the quality of its natural resources. The terrior of ABK6 is a chalky hilltop at 154m of altitude. For this spirit 100% Ugni-blanc grapes were used. The vinification took place in thermoregulated vats. The distillation was a double distillation in small charentals pot-stills. This Cognac is aged in new and old French Limousin oak barrels of 350 liters.

For their Merlet VSOP Cognac, Gilles and his sons selected and blended eaux-de-vie from different regions of the cognac appellation, to ensure consistent quality. The eaux-de-vie were aged for at least four years. Most of the Cognacs selected for this blend are from Fins Bois ‘crus’, famed for their fruitiness and their capacity to mature fast when barrel-aged.
