The Crème de Cassis de Merlet has held the status of Geographical Indication since 2015, recognizing the unique expertise developed over 30 years in the cultivation of blackcurrants and their transformation into liqueur. The complete mastery of the cultivation and harvesting of the berries, their ripeness, and their transformation by the Merlet family, combined with a high concentration of macerated fruits, are the keys to the extreme intensity and complexity achieved.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: Extremely powerful, with ripe blackcurrant. Upon aeration, also notes of spices, mint, and black tea.
PALATE: Its thickness reflects the maximum concentration of fruits. The blackcurrant immediately coats the palate. Perfect balance between sugar, acidity, and alcohol.
FINISH: Almost endless, reminiscent of traditional jams.

Our malt is crafted slowly and is matured at the distillery in traditional dunnage warehouses on earthen floors. We're proud of our heritage and have used traditional methods since we rolled our first barrels back in 1790. And yet we're not afraid to tinker with tradition if it serves to improve our product. Our single malt is the perfect mix of nature and nurture and we believe in quality above all else.
