Rebel Yell was the first American distillery to substitute wheat for rye in 1910 to create a Bourbon with a sweeter palate and notes of vanilla and toffee. Today, Rebel Yell is made under license at Heaven Hill, one of Kentucky's oldest distilleries, still using the original recipe that earned it a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011.

Maguey tepeztate (or tepextate) is an Agave marmorata. It produces beautiful quiotes at the end of it’s life that flower a rich yellow before turning to seed. Tepeztate takes as many as 25 years to mature in the wild, and sustainability efforts are needed in order to keep mezcal production of this agave in the future. Despite all odds it seems to flourish best on the sides of steep rocky cliffs. In certain areas of Puebla there is a smaller sub-varietal of the Agave marmorata that grows with lateral white stripes across the pencas. These agave can go by the name pichomel, pichorra, or pizorra depending on location.

After aging for 8 years in oak barrels, this rum undergoes a double finishing process: first in barrels that previously held a coffee liqueur, then in barrels infused with the deep aromas of roasted coffee. This distinctive maturation imparts Coloma Coffee Smoked with a captivating complexity, where vanilla sweetness, caramelized indulgence, and intense smoky mocha notes intertwine. An exceptional encounter between two legendary worlds.
