Specially selected by Billy Walker, limited edition: 1,800 cases, matured in Bourbon casks and finished in Premier Cru Classé barrels, aged in Speyside, non-chill filtered, with no added coloring. Factors such as the oak essence, the toasting level, and the cooperage of the cask each leave a unique mark on the spirit at rest. The oak itself was previously influenced by the grape variety and the terroir of the wine estate from which these barrels originate; thus, the wood adds distinct layers of complexity, depth, and charm. These French oak barrels were sourced from one of the five Premier Cru Classé châteaux located in the Bordeaux wine region of France, which is globally renowned.

This deliciously fruity whisky enjoyed initial maturation in premium American oak ex-Bourbon barrels for over 8 years. Adding further complexity, the spirit was then transferred into specially elected Moscatel casks for a finishing period of over 42 months. A particularly aromatic dessert wine produced in Portugal, these Moscatel barriques offer up floral aromas, coupled with a silky-smooth mouthfeel. Delivering distinctive notes of tart fruit and rich toffee, this bronzed malt is one to be savoured.

A watchful eye throughout the maturation journey ensures the whisky is bottled at its optimum. With an intense mahogany hue, this single malt exudes sheer indulgence with layers of cinnamon, orange zest, vanilla toffee and dark chocolate. This opulent Scotch whisky was patiently perfected in the finest oak casks for 18 long years. Silently slumbering in our on-site warehouses, the spirit underwent continual monitoring until Billy Walker deemed it had reached its pinnacle. With enticing aromas of honey and mocha, followed by marzipan and dark cherry tones on the palate, it’s a single malt oozing elegant refinement. We proudly present The GlenAllachie 18-year-old with integrity; at a high strength of 46%, without added colouring or chill filtration, allowing the unpeated whisky’s true character to reign supreme.

This whisky was distilled on on 26th March 2010 and aged in a single ex-PX Sherry cask #804032 for 13 years.

To create the GlenAllachie Wine Cask series, master blender Billy Walker first matured the spirit in the finest American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, before transferring the whisky into hand-selected European wine casks for secondary aging.
Billy added a distinctive touch to this edition by blending four exceptional wine cask finishes into one unique expression: The Cuvée Wine Cask Finish.
The 9-year-old Cuvée is a marriage of spirits from several fine wine barrels originating from the world-renowned regions of Bordeaux, Languedoc, and Valpolicella.

The GlenAllachie Wine Cask Finish series is a tribute to the art of aging and the expertise of master blender Billy Walker. For this 2023 edition, the whisky, first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, underwent a second aging in meticulously selected European wine barrels. This special edition, named "The Cuvée Wine Cask Finish," is an elegant and complex blend of four finishes from prestigious wine regions: the French AOCs of Languedoc and Médoc, as well as the Italian Grattamacco and Recioto della Valpolicella barrels. This rare single malt offers a unique aromatic richness, combining red fruits, delicate spices, and bursts of citrus for a sensory experience full of character.
