Specially selected by Billy Walker, limited edition: 1,800 cases, matured in Bourbon casks and finished in Premier Cru Classé barrels, aged in Speyside, non-chill filtered, with no added coloring. Factors such as the oak essence, the toasting level, and the cooperage of the cask each leave a unique mark on the spirit at rest. The oak itself was previously influenced by the grape variety and the terroir of the wine estate from which these barrels originate; thus, the wood adds distinct layers of complexity, depth, and charm. These French oak barrels were sourced from one of the five Premier Cru Classé châteaux located in the Bordeaux wine region of France, which is globally renowned.
TASTING NOTES:
COLOR: Polished bronze.
NOSE: Waves of caramel, blackcurrant, and heather honey, with notes of minerality, poached orchard fruits, and orange zest.
PALATE: Layers of honeycomb, dark fruits, and dark chocolate, followed by coffee, truffle, and cinnamon.

Botran Solera 18Y is a rum aged at high altitude in the mountains of Guatemala. It comes from a blend of rums between 5 and 18 years old and has benefited from Solera-type aging. The American oak casks used for the Solera are former Sherry and Port casks. Furthermore, the aging cellars are located at an altitude of 2,300 meters, which aims to intensify the aging, thus developing delicate aromas of vanilla, tobacco, and sandalwood.

Factors such as the oak species, level of toasting, and coopering of the cask each leave a unique mark on the slumbering spirit. The oak itself was previously influenced by the grape variety and terroir of the winery from which we sourced these barriques; thus, the wood adds distinctive layers of complexity, depth and charm.
