Nc’nean unveils a bold new edition of its experimental Huntress series, with Lemon Meadow, a Scottish single malt that fully embodies the distillery’s innovative spirit. A true ode to fermentation, this edition highlights a yeast derived from the production of French sparkling wines, bringing an unexpected and refined touch to this whisky. Aged in a combination of carefully selected casks, Lemon Meadow offers a creamy, floral and deliciously biscuity expression, perfect for those seeking originality.

The fifth release in our experimental Huntress series, inspired by the Gaelic goddess Neachneohain, our namesake and guiding star who was known as a huntress and for walking her own path. This series is all about that ethos, about discovery, innovation and our ongoing pursuit of unique flavours in whisky making. This release, Malted Teacake, is a fermentation experiment that takes inspiration from Scotch Whisky’s past. The malty, creamy notes come from our use of a yeast strain typically used in the brewing of Belgian ales. When matured in our house style casks, the result is a buttery, jammy whisky with a touch of minerality. We find we taste flavours of freshly baked cake, fig marmalade and hot buttered toast. For this fifth edition of the Quiet Rebels series, Nc’nean highlights Simon, a distiller with a passion for beer.
In collaboration with the Scottish brewery Innis & Gunn, he creates a single malt matured in STR red wine casks, then refined in chocolate stout casks for a gourmet and unique profile.

Barrik rum is a fresh, expressive rum, with a strong character, finely wooded, which gives it a certain distinction that makes it a unique rum of its kind!

Our Quiet Rebels series is all about celebrating the people who make Nc’nean what it is. This year, it’s our Head of Sustainability, Amy, who has picked her favourite combination of casks to curate a fruity and jammy whisky with a hint of toasted spices. Organic principles are integral to Amy’s philosophy, so her creation includes whisky finished in organic Maury casks, a fortified wine from France made in a similar way to port, alongside STR red wine and ex-Bourbon barrels. In addition to tasting completely delicious, this whisky perfectly represents Amy’s ethos of pioneering sustainable production here on the wild and beautiful west coast of Scotland by demonstrating that there are better ways of producing the things we like to enjoy.

Our gin is the result of distillation and maceration. We use a certified organic grain alcohol of European origin (mainly from Italy) which brings all the smoothness and finesse of Origen gin and allows the balance of the selected aromatic notes to express themselves.
