This Limited – Last Casks – Edition is crafted from the sole remaining lot blended in 1998, comprising rums distilled on the Diamond Coffey Still, and rum that was once produced on the since-discontinued Tri-Canada Redistillation Still. This Rum was artfully crafted by the Master Distiller George Robinson and aged for 24 years in the Barrel warehouse in Guyana.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE: Rich aroma of malt and sweet nectar blending with layers of oak and vanilla.

PALATE: Elegant and delicate, rich and smooth, silky and full-bodied, with a wonderful blend of nuts and cinnamon aroma.

FINISH: Notes of sweet, thick, and elegant nectar, honey, and a touch of soothing smoke.

Maguey mexicano (Agave rhodacantha) is also known as “dobadaan” in some regions, which is its local name in Zapotec. Though exact numbers are unknown, some speculate that there are seven or more sub-varieties of Maguey Mexicano that each produce different characteristics in mezcal. Some of those include Maguey mexicano penca larga, mexicano penca corta, mexicano liso, chontal, and amarillo grande. Many of these sub-varietals are very different looking plants.

The Roma family has been producing Armagnacs in Cravencères for several generations. This is the smallest plot on the estate, where red cane is grown in accordance with the rules of organic farming. The plot is well exposed to the sun. The cane is worked by hand at every stage, with the exception of the harvest, which is mechanised. This 100% Canne Rouge white agricultural rum is aged for 12 months in stainless steel vats, then bottled after reduction at 55°.
