Serpent’s Tears is a Llandudno Peated, Smoky Fruity Single Malt Welsh Whisky at 46abv.

The Sherrywood Penderyn in this bottle has been aged in old bourbon casks and old Oloroso sherry casks to bring out the full richness of its fruity flavor.

A unique and first 20 year old export release by Penderyn, to celebrate a long collaboration with Premium Spirits since 2003.

This whisky has been double distilled, and then matured in Ex-rye casks from Jack Daniels, and is one of only 2050 bottles. It is bottled at 50% abv.

This exceptional whisky is created exclusively from malted barley grown on New Zealand's South Island. Its slow double distillation, optimising contact with the copper, gives it a remarkable roundness. A blend of whiskies aged in bourbon and sherry casks offers a delicate, complex experience.

The triple distillation not only concentrates the alcohol in the whisky but also creates lighter and fruitier flavors. With only two stills, we carried out the last two distillations in our 3,600-liter spirit still, separating the hearts from the heads and tails each time. One of the characteristics of Pokeno Single Malt is its incredibly smooth and creamy nature, achieved through our extremely slow distillation process, which allows for maximum reflux in our stills. We then take a very small heart, about only 20% of the distillation. By adding an extra distillation, this has elevated the profile to the next level. After a full maturation in a first fill bourbon barrel, Pokeno have re-racked this single malt into a PX sherry butt, from Miguel Martin, for a period of 6 months. The result is a whisky of incredible depth and complexity.

Pokeno Revelation celebrates our unique place in the world. First Pokeno carefully select and blend parcels of stock which have been fully matured in first fill bourbon and New Zealand Red Wine casks from one of our favourite wineries. Pokeno then lay these back down in cask to allow them to marry perfectly together.
