- New
Art of Rum unveils its fourth exceptional batch, where the art of blending meets the creativity of artists. Born from the expertise of master blender Thierry Grondin and the artistic universe of Xandro, this aged rum embodies audacity. This new cuvée merges traditional rums aged in humid cellars, two 6-year-old rums aged in ex-cognac casks, a 9-year-old rum aged in ex-muscatel casks, and a "Herr" high ester rum distilled in a pot still in 2006, long rested in tanks before its 8-year aging shared between ex-cognac and ex-porto casks. Fresh and gourmand, this blend reveals intense tropical notes, fruit, and an elegant briny and woody complexity.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE: A fruity dominance (exotic fruits and candied fruits), sweetness with a woody/vanilla melting providing a gourmand character (pastry side). In the background, there is a hint of liquorice/anise and freshness.
PALATE: Sweetness, fruitiness dominates. A very beautiful harmony with the nose. Very slight liquorice bitterness. Finishes on woody/vanilla/spicy notes.
FINISH : Good balance, harmonious and suave product. Aromatic power with a fruity dominance (impact of the HERR). Sweetness and vegetal notes with the influence of Muscatel. A beautiful and pleasant length on the palate.
